Passed away on August 11, 2009
Jay B. Harris, died Tuesday, August 11, 2009 at his home. He was a native of Savannah and lifelong resident of Whitemarsh Island.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jack Mercer Harris, Sr., and his brothers, Jack Mercer Harris, Jr. and Jonathon Clay Harris.
Jay is survived by his mother, Nettie T. Harris, of Whitemarsh Island and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Graveside Service will be 1:00 p.m., Thursday, August 13, 2009 at the Greenwich section of Bonaventure Cemetery.

grew up with jay on the island, we went to church together and went to each others birthday partys as kids. havent seen him in 3 yrs but ive had him on my mind hard lately. i wanted to call him to see if he was alright. i know it was the holy spirit that put him on my mind. words cant explain how i feel, a deep sorrow.
